Let's face it, we all love food. At Balmoral School this is no different; food brings us together as a family, a classroom, an entire school, and as a community.
We love nothing more than to socialise over lunch in the playground, share a classroom afternoon tea, enjoy a parents get together over wine and cheese, or take part in a school disco or carnival.
Creating and sharing food is part of our everyday lives. So it's no wonder that we embarked on the challenge of creating a cookbook to celebrate our Balmoral School community.
Overflowing with deliciousness, we have curated the best tried and true heirloom favourites from the many cultures that make up our school families, of which some recipes have been lovingly passed down through multiple generations.
Add to that a selection of personal favourites from some of our own fabulous Kiwi foodies, and you've got 224 beautifully styled pages reflecting what connects us all - food.
We hope you enjoy creating every special recipe gracing these pages, as much as we enjoyed bringing them to you, and that this book and it's recipes will become your own family favourite, handed down through generations to come. Enjoy!
