When: April 23, 24, 26, (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) 2019, 9am to 5pm each day (Drop off is expected to be from 830am each day, note Thursday is Anzac Day so there will be NO clinic that day).
Where: EDEN PARK, Reimers Ave, Kingsland.
Who: Any rugby players or general all round sporty types both boys and girls in the Under 8 - Under 13 tackle rugby team range for 2018.
This school holiday clinic will provide a rugby experience to enhance player’s basic rugby skills, and skills over and above their regular team training, while being in a positive, fun environment. Players will learn/improve fundamental skills required to succeed in rugby with a major focus on tackling technique and team play. Boys and girls welcome, this clinic will benefit any child taking part in sports team play of every code, particularly ball/fitness skills and team play.
Other skills include
• Hand-eye coordination
• Balance and spatial awareness
• Speed, fitness and strength
• Safe tackling techniques
• Ruck Defence
• Tackle ball & post tackle
Additional focus on additional topics such as nutrition and good food choices, strength and conditioning and injury prevention, sprint and cross training, and other related areas.
Day three will include a team tournament followed by prizegiving , all parents, family and friends are most welcome to come and support for part of the day.
All participants will receive a certificate and goody bag, water bottle, sunscreen, training tee and cap.
Special guests will visit during the week, to inspire and motivate for the season ahead.
Morning tea and lunch will be catered each day, and an H2O hydration and sunscreen station will be provided. Unfortunately any participants with specific dietary requirements OR allergies may be required to supply their own morning tea and lunch as we have a set menu, but feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss requirements and we will assist where possible.
